A family run business that started as a form of grief therapy
After the tragic passing of their father, Alexander Linn Tulloch in October 2020, siblings Barry, Natalie and Maxine Tulloch set out to make candles as a form of grief therapy. Candle making helped them cope with the immense sadness they experienced after the unexpected loss of their Dad who they describe as an incredible father and human being.
They soon realised their passion for candle making and spent the best part of 18 months spending endless nights researching everything about candles. Experimenting with waxes, fragrances and wicks, perfecting the right blend.
Crystal healing helped the siblings on some of their darkest days. They brought their passion for candle making and crystal healing together to create products with meaning and intention. As a result, Alexander Linn was born.
The power of scent and crystal energy achieve something powerful
They decided to draw from the hugely positive influence their father had on their lives, poignant memories as well as drawing from their new grief journey and many life experiences along the way. All of this combined the siblings have created a bespoke range of powerful products, all complimented by luxurious scents.
A great deal of time, love and energy goes into the making of each individual candle. Crystals and vessels are cleansed before each candle is carefully hand poured and crafted.
Giving back
Alexander Linn are ethical in their brand approach and are committed to donating 5% of all profits to Starlight Children’s Foundation and Chest Heart Stroke Scotland who fund Bronchiectasis research, the cruel respiratory illness their Dad so graciously endured and currently underfunded in the medical research world.
Alexander Linn aim to continue supporting more non-profit charities in the future as the brand continues to grow.
Each candle has a unique healing purpose
“We are hugely inspired by our Dad’s perspective on life and the immense kindness he shared on a daily basis even in the darkest of times, therefore we wanted to continue his legacy by sharing the love and kindness he so often did with others every day of his life. Dad's love, empathy and compassion are at the heart what we do and reflected in our ethos and beautiful candles. We are extremely proud to create something beautiful, born out of such immense sadness. I believe candle making has saved us in a way. We are passionate about helping others through our love of candle making that began when we started taking candles to Dad's resting place every day. The sense of comfort they provided was extremely powerful and from then on the rest is history. Our world was turned upside down in October 2020 but knowing Dad is guiding us every step of the way on this new journey gives us the determination to keep going. We have a powerful reason to continue moving forward. Our candles are created with nothing but love and intention and we are truly passionate about helping to support others with the hope that our products can provide a little light amid the darkness. We will continuously strive to do better for others. Just as Dad did. Always."
